Olive one step closer to Big Brother house
Outgoing Dundalk granny down to last 800 candidates

Dundalk's most outgoing grandmother has moved one step closer to securing a place in the Big Brother house this summer.
Olive Reid (60) from Lis Na Ri is reportedly down to the last 800 out of BB hopefuls who were invited to London to meet with the shows producers in the last week.
Having been picked from around 500,000 people who auditioned across the UK and Ireland, Olive is sure to set tongues wagging as the team behind the hugely successful reality show return to Dublin in the coming weeks to whittle down the remaining candidates.
Although she is keeping mum about her chance of getting through to BB10, Olive said she would be 'absolutely thrilled' to move into the house.
'I would love it of course, but I'd probably be kicked out in the first week, either that or I'd have them all killed in there!'
A keen badminton player, she believed that she could easily fit into the role of house mother if she makes it through to the next season of the show set to hit our screens at the end of May
'I could overpower the young ones, I'd be the mother of the house.
'I reared nine children, so I'd have no problem handling the kids in the house.'
After being unsuccessful at six previous auditions, Olive has become a media favourite with several appearances on TV and radio including TV3's Expose, The Cafe on RTE 2, and she was interviewed by Gerry Ryan on his 2FM radio show.
Despite the media hype Olive told the Argus that this was her last attempt to get into the Big Brother house.
'I would really love to get through, but this is my seventh time trying so I won't be doing it again.
'Hopefully this will be my year!'
