Scouts take part in Medieval Day
MEMBERS of 8th Louth Slieve Foy Scouts, took part in the Carlingford Medieval Day last week. This is an annual fundraising day for the Scout Group who dress in Medieval style for the day and many thanks to all who contributed to the event. The group raised over € 1,500, which will be used to purchase much needed new equipment for the group and help with purchases of material for the soon to be launched new adventure programme.

History quiz
CARLINGFORD Lough Heritage Trust has organised a postal quiz in conjunction with the 8th centenary celebration of King John's Castle. There are three prizes, a 1st prize of € 5,000, a 2nd prize of € 300, and a 3rd prize of € 200. The entry fee of € 5 is payable by postal order or by cheque made out to Carlingford Lough Heritage Trust. The closing date for entries is Saturday, October 16th and the winners will be announced on Saturday October 23rd .
