€ 2k raised for hospice cause
Wednesday December 02 2009
THE 'Tour de Cooley', the bicycle run organised in mid-Summer as a two wheeler alternative to the more familiar tractor runs, raised at total of € 2,220 and this amount was recently handed over to the North Louth Hospice.
The run was a great success and was very well supported as young and old took to the roads of the peninsula.
The organisers were amazed at the turnout and expressed their delight that what they called 'a very simple idea' could now grow into a very worthwhile annual charitable event.
The tour commenced at St Mary's Hall and covered Ballug, Willville, Templetown, Whitestown and Ballagan before returning to the starting point.
