Paddy marks his 90th

WELL known pigeon fancier and coursing man Paddy Arthur had a great night when he celebrated his 90th birthday with a great gathering of family and friends in the Riva Townhouse, Jocelyn Street.
Paddy, from Castletown Road, really enjoyed the night surrounded by so many well wishers, and had plenty of chat with everyone there.
Formerly a 'clicker' in Rawsons and later Hallidays shoe factories, Paddy is known far and wide for his involvement in coursing and pigeon circles, and is Hon. Secretary of the local coursing club.
Paddy's sister Teresa Moore travelled from London for the occasion, and also there was another Alice Breen from Knockbridge, but a third sister May couldn't make it from Canada for the party. The night was rounded off with music from Fra Kieran and Marty Garland, which Paddy really enjoyed, and it proved a fitting way for him to start his 90th year.
