Mick's neat detective work tracks down owner of wallet

Wednesday February 01 2012

A NEAT bit of detective work by Mick Mcshane, who runs the 'Dundalk Angling Centre' at the Demesne Shopping Centre, led to him tracking down the owner of the missing wallet.

Mick was walking round by the ' Talk to Me' Vodafone shop with his friend Matt Campbell when he noticed the almost new wallet lying on the ground.

' There were hundreds of Euros and Australian dollars in it, as well as a credit card, but no ID, other than a receipt from Mccuskers,' said Mick. So they went round to Mccuskers in Earl Street to see if they might know who owned the wallet, and from there was directed to Campbells Jewellers in The Demesne, from where they were able to contact a relative of Tom Clarke, and re-unite him with his wallet.

'He tried to give me a present, but I wouldn't take it,' said Mick.

'I just hope that the karma will come back to me that if I ever lose my wallet when I'm away that I will get it back.'
