GREENORE'S successful Winter League was won by Team Murtagh [ J] on 680pts, Peter Murtagh (19), Eamon McCartan (1), Michael Mallie (12), Eugene Doran (12), Terry Davey ( 15), Michael Owen McGrath (16) and Sean O'Hanlon.

Sun shines on captains' drive-in
ON Sunday last in glorious sunshine a very large crowd assembled on the first tee for Captain Seán O'Hanlon and Lady Captain Pat Cluskey' s drive-in. The presentation and condition of the course was beyond everyone's expectation for the time of year. Winners, Kevin Cormican (10), Jarlath Digney (13), Donal P. O' Hagan (17), Catherine Woods (36) with 57.4; 2nd Damian White (7), Brian Connor (18), Pacelli Gallagher (22), Ciaran Crawley (18), 57.5; 3rd Brendan Tumilty (6), Damian Smith (6), Brendan Doherty (20), Siobhán O'Hagan (28) with 58.
Tony splits fairway
THE SUN was splitting the stones last Saturday morning as Tony Harte, incoming Captain of Fitzpatrick's Society split the first fairway at Dundalk with a fine drive to open the 2010 season.
